Winter Fog in the Mountains
This painting is inspired by the dark months of November through January. The sun always low on the horizon, casting a cool pastel tone across the landscape. As the temperatures drop, the tiny ice crystals stay suspended in the air creating ice fog and frost on the trees. The resulting pastel skies against the frosty trees are a beautiful combination.
The original artwork was created with alcohol inks on 11”x14” synthetic paper. Compositions are cropped by the artist to maintain overall integrity and best fit the different print options and aspect ratios.
