Winter's Shadow

from $18.00

There is something truly magical about winter in Alaska. From the peaceful stillness of snow-covered landscapes to the soft glow of the winter solstice and the breathtaking dance of the northern lights, this season is filled with beauty, wonder, and inspiration.

Through my alcohol ink paintings, I love exploring the colors, movement, and ever-changing moods of Alaska's winter. The fluid and unpredictable nature of alcohol inks allows me to play, experiment, and let the colors take on a life of their own. Sometimes the inks flow in unexpected directions, creating little surprises that remind me of the natural beauty and unpredictability of Alaska itself.

I'm especially drawn to the contrast between the quiet darkness of winter and the brilliant bursts of color that light up our skies. Whether it's the soft pastels of a winter sunset, the deep blues and purples of a long winter night, or the vibrant greens of the northern lights, each painting is my way of capturing a little piece of that magic.
