Blue Black Leaves

from $16.00

An original alcohol ink painting that has been beautifully transformed into a fine art print, inspired by calming walks along the beach at Whiskey Gulch. During my time camping there, tracking the low and high tides has become a favorite pastime of mine, and I often set my alarms to make sure I’m out exploring the exposed sandy shores when the tides recede.

Alaska boasts some of the most extreme tidal swings found anywhere, resulting in some epically low tides that dramatically expose a fascinating array of sea life and unique marine creatures. This striking piece expertly utilizes the vibrant colors and rich textures discovered during my low tide explorations. Deep, dark blues, slate grays, rusty reds, and vibrant pops of green are all beautifully evident along the beach, capturing the essence of this incredible natural landscape.
